It began in 2015...

In March of 2015, my then-boyfriend proposed to me in St. Louis. Immediately following the proposal, we celebrated by grabbing a few pints at Urban Chestnut (and then a few more at Schlafly). It was clear from the beginning that our wedding would pay homage to something we both love so dearly.

We set our hearts on a Milwaukee wedding, and booked Pabst Best Place for the ceremony, and Hinterland Gastropub + Microbrewery for the reception almost immediately. All was going to plan, but then it came down to planning all the little details. I wanted to infuse little nods to beer throughout the wedding, but when I looked online for inspiration, I was surprisingly disappointed by the lack of resources. Even on Pinterest where hundreds of thousands of women plan their weddings (often times long before an engagement), I struggled to find inspiration. As someone who hadn't spent her entire life dreaming of a picture-perfect wedding day, I found this process to be incredibly overwhelming. Of course everything worked out, and it was a picture-perfect day, but oh how I wished the journey to that moment had been easier.

I created Beer-Loving Bride to help all of the brides out there who are in the position that I was not all that long ago. To all my down-to-earth, beer-loving brides-to-be, I've got you covered.

If you have any feedback or recommendations on how I can make this site more helpful, I'd really love to hear from you! Send me an email at thebeerlovingbride@gmail.com and let's chat :)

Cheers!
